On behalf of the Grand Caribbean Community and the Homeowners’ Association Board of Directors, I would like to personally welcome you to the Grand Caribbean website. From the Spanish word for “lost”, residents and guests of Perdido Key in general and Grand Caribbean in particular thrive on the feeling of being lost in time while enjoying the conveniences of nearby shopping, a variety of unique dining experiences, coupled with famous local attractions like U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels and Naval Aviation Museum, and coming in the Spring of 2012 the Cincinnati Reds’ AA affiliate the “Blue Wahoos”.
The expansive Grand Caribbean property consists of 1 and 2 bedroom condominiums located in 2 separate low rise buildings, each of which claims its own access to the shimmering emerald green waters and sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. After a day of soaking up the sun, looking for shells, or perhaps even observing the birth of baby sea turtles, return to one of the complex’s two heated pools (in season) or relax those muscles in one of our two hot tubs. With near perfect golf weather year round, high and low handicappers alike should be able to find a challenge among the areas 14 golf courses all within an easy 1 hour drive.
Perhaps your passion is fishing. From crappie and largemouth bass to 1,000 pound blue marlin with a tasty pompano or red snapper thrown in for good measure, this area has it all. Numerous charter boats and Captains are standing by to help you achieve your dream. When the north winds blow and the temperature flirts with freezing up north, our snowbird season begins in earnest. Take advantage of our weekly activities ranging from card games to potluck dinners and meet new friends as well as rekindle old friendships.
